Adsense Keyword – The Most Fraudulently Used Google Adsense Keywords

Adsense Keyword – The Most Fraudulently Used Google Adsense Keywords

Thursday, October 20 2005 at 16:27

Today you see Google Adsense ads on almost every other website on the Internet. These websites do this to generate revenue from these Google Adsense ads to support themselves and hopefully make some profit. The problem arises when a website’s owner creates fraudulent clicks for the sole purpose of generating Google Adsense revenue. That is to say they manually click on the links themselves, or through multiple different computers, to simulate different people interested in the advertiser’s website.

For example the author of this article uses both of Google’s programs to advertise (Adwords) and to generate revenue (Adsense). Google Adsense is an effective form of advertising because it generates the income for website publishers, and it drives traffic to the advertiser’s website.

Adsense Money – Google AdSense Electronic Funds Transfer Out Of Beta

Adsense Money – Google AdSense Electronic Funds Transfer Out Of Beta

Thursday, October 20 2005 at 18:24

Google AdSense has taken its Electronic Funds Transfer system out of beta after months of testing and is offering wire deposits to bank accounts of AdSense publishers in 16 different countries. For international AdSense publishers, the Google EFT system is a fiscal need as checks via International Mail have been known to take a long time to be delivered or can even get lost. Additionally, there is usually some sort of foreign currency exchange charge by banks when a US check is deposited into a foreign account plus the extended wait for the check to clear in some countries.

Yahoo Adsense – Introducing Yahoo Publisher Network

Yahoo Adsense – Introducing Yahoo Publisher Network

Thursday, October 20 2005 at 18:39

This isn’t exactly breaking news anymore. I decided a while ago that one of my first posts on this blog would be about Yahoo’s new publisher network. Unfortunately it took longer than I expected to get this blog up and going. I’m sure that by now many of you are already familiar with YPN, but I thought I’d go ahead with this anyway as its hard to find a bigger web publishing news story than Yahoo getting into the Ad Network game.

Yahoo Publisher Network, found here is actually still in beta, but don’t let that stop you from signing up. If you’re familiar with Google Adsense then you pretty much know what to expect with YPN. Like Google, YPN analyzes your content and then serves appropriate ads based on your content, or that’s the plan anyways.

At http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2005/10/17/introducing-yahoo-publisher-network/ you can learn more about the Yahoo Adsense battle of PPC giants.

Adsense Money – Google Releases Q3 2005 Earnings

Adsense Money – Google Releases Q3 2005 Earnings

Friday, October 21 2005 at 09:55

Google has just released their Q3 2005 earnings, as covered in this press release.

“Although this is typically a slower season for Internet properties, we had another exceptional quarter,” said Eric Schmidt, Google chief executive officer. “Our focus on end users and on quality of information and advertising worldwide continues to work extremely well. We are very pleased with how well this is working at scale.”

From The WSJ/Dow Jones: The Mountain View, Calif., company said earnings for the quarter were $381.2 million, or $1.32 a share, compared with a profit of $52 million, or 19 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Total revenue reached $1.58 billion, up 96% from $805.9 million last year. Wall Street forecast revenue of $939.2 million, excluding the commissions Google pays to marketing partners. On that basis Google brought in $1.05 billion in revenue, while the comparable year-earlier figure was $503 million.

Adsense Money – Google Doubles Revenue in a Year

Adsense Money – Google Doubles Revenue in a Year

Friday, October 21 2005 at 10:07

Google reported a record $1.6 billion in revenue for the third quarter, virtually double what it brought in a year ago and up 14 percent sequentially. Net income was up seven-fold over the year-ago period to $381 million, or $1.31 per share.

The extraordinary earnings, almost all from advertising, are all the more stunning considering that the third quarter is seasonally slow online.

Revenue from sites owned by Google grew considerably faster than that from sites in its extended AdSense network. Company-owned sites brought in 56 percent of all earnings for the quarter, or $885 million. That’s a 20 percent lift over Q2. Network revenues, meanwhile, grew by 7 percent; these accounted for 43 percent of the whole, or $675 million.
